iPhone 6s Chipgate : How to know what chip you get

This issue has become hot news around the internet. As you know, Apple outsource their production to 2 companies : Samsung and TSMC. There is a buzz on the net that iPhone 6s battery with TSMC chip last longer than other which use Samsung chip. So, how to know what chips you've got in your iphone? There are several ways to know your chipset :

1. Using "Lirum device info lite"

With this app you can know directly about your chip and also the fastest way in my opinion. Search this app inside the app store and install it (it's free). Once it installed, Open the app. In the main page of the app look for "Model". If it's :

N66AP = Samsung Chip
N71AP = Samsung Chip
N66MAP = TSMC chip
N71MAP = TSMC chip

2. CPU Identifier

This method is also easy to do :

- Go to http://demo.hiraku.tw/CPUIdentifier/ from your iphone and install the app (Note : this is unsigned app)
- Go to settings , choose General
- Tap on "Profile"
- Search for Guangzhou Huimei Electronics
- Select "Trust this app"
- Open the app to know your chipset.

3. Using your iMazing app and your mac

If you have mac or PC, you can use iMazing app, which has similar feature like iTunes :

- Download iMazing app from https://imazing.com/download
- Connect your iphone
- Choose "trust this computer" from your iphone if it's the first time you connect your iphone
- Select "Get info"
- Scroll down and look for "Hardware model"
